Day 1: Ha Noi – Arrival
Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. In the evening you will take delight in watching a traditional water puppet performance whose origins date  back over a thousand years.

Day 2: Ha Noi – Sightseeing                                             
You will have a full day to explore Hanoi’s illustrious history. In the morning visit the imposing marble edifice housing Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (CLOSED ON MONDAYS & FRIDAYS) before seeing his wooden house on stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda. You will then explore the first university of Vietnam – the Temple of Literature imbued with the profound philosophies of Confucianism. In the afternoon visit the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. A one-hour cyclo tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter allows you to catch a glimpse of ancient Hanoi and learn about the Vietnamese traditional architecture with a stop at a quaint house.

Day 3: Ha noi – Hue – Sightseeing
Take your flight to Hue – the former Imperial capital of Vietnam. Arrive in Hue and take an excursion to the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market. This spectacular Citadel which was built in accordance with strict principles of geomancy houses a series of palaces, ornate halls, libraries, residences, and colleges. In the afternoon visit the poetic mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc and the Thien Mu Pagoda. Set in spectacular landscape, the peaceful Perfume River offers you a relaxedsunset cruise back to Hue.

Day 4: Hue – Hoi An
Drive along the coast and via mountain passes to Hoi An with a stop en route at the photogenic village of Lang Co Beach. Upon arrival in Hoi An, you will set off  on a walking tour to explore this World Heritage site. Highlights include an ancient merchant house, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the colorful riverside market. Visit one of Hoi An’s most famous lantern workshops and learn how to make a lantern on your own. You will  then cap off your day with a sunset boat trip on the Thu Bon River to Thanh Ha pottery village.

Day 5: Hoi An – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City
Depart for Danang to catch your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Sightseeing
This morning you will visit the amazing Cu Chi tunnels where the Vietnamese guerillas built a labyrinth of narrow tunnels as hideouts during the recent war. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon for a half-day city tour. Highlights include the Reunification Palace (photo stop), Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Chinatown, Binh Tay Market and Thien Hau Temple /or Quan Am pagoda.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City – Departure
Free at leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for your departure.
